A travel clip is a common file to keep on a phone once the signal drops.

iPhone will save a Pinterest video, but it rarely drops the file straight into Photos. Safari puts it in Downloads first. The rest is a share-sheet step that takes about ten seconds once you know where to tap.

A public video stays an MP4, with the soundtrack that was uploaded.

Use Safari

Open PinSaver in Safari, not in an in-app browser inside Pinterest. In-app browsers often hide the download manager. Paste the Pin link, pick a quality, and tap Download MP4.

Find the file

Tap the Downloads icon in the address bar. It looks like a downward arrow and may show a small badge. If you do not see it, tap the aA menu and look for Downloads. Open the MP4 from that list.

Move it to Photos

With the file open, tap the share icon. Choose Save Video. The clip then appears in the Recents album. If Save Video is missing, the phone has stored it in the Files app instead. Open Files, go to On My iPhone, then Downloads, and share the video into Photos from there.

If it is a photo or a GIF

A still image offers Save Image in the same share sheet. A GIF often will not import into Photos, because Photos wants a still or a normal movie. Keep the GIF in Files, where it still plays, or download the MP4 version of that Pin if Pinterest published one. The GIF downloader lists both when both exist.

Safari holds the download. Share it into Photos after that.

A private Pin will not download, on iPhone or anywhere else. Copy the link from the open Pin, not from the board it was pinned to. The longer how-to covers Android and desktop as well.
