The file is not yours just because you can see it
A public Pin is still someone’s work. Pinterest’s own terms also restrict what you may do with content on the platform, including automated collection. PinSaver only fetches a public Pin when a person pastes that one link. That design is a limit, not a legal blessing. You are responsible for the link you submit and for what you do with the file.
Personal reference is the intended use
Keeping a recipe video so you can cook from it, or a diagram so you can study it, is the use this site is written for. Reposting the video on another account, selling it, or dropping it into an advertisement is a different use, and it usually needs the creator’s permission. A download button does not grant that permission. Watermarks are left in the file on purpose.
Private stays private
Secret boards and private Pins are out of reach, and that is deliberate. If you cannot open the Pin in a logged-out window, do not expect a tool to open it for you. Boards and profiles are not downloadable either. One public Pin at a time is the whole product.
If it is your work
Creators can ask for a Pin id to be blocked. The DMCA page explains what a notice needs: who you are, which Pin, and a statement that you are the owner or their agent. PinSaver does not host a library, so the practical step is to refuse that Pin id on future requests. Send notices to [email protected].
If you are unsure about a specific file, ask the creator, or ask a lawyer in your country. The disclaimer and terms say the same thing in more formal language.
